As this website got more and more traction, I realized that working on what I feel like working on ain't gonna cut it anymore. So, what features do you want next?

Examples:

If you'd like to see a bug fixed, please post about it in Bugs and Glitches!

For all posts until #32:
  • ScratchR/1.4: 6 (Though I prefer polishing the pre-existing frontends first)
  • Theme support in editors: 1
  • Theme support in wiki/porting the 1.4 and 2.0 skins: 1
  • Custom CSS/community-made themes: 1
  • SB3 support on 2.0: 1
  • Better locale support: 1
  • Teacher accounts: 1
  • Guns: 1

Done:
  • Search (Search is implemented, expect the update to come soon!)
  • Addons (See: https://code.chipmunk.land/heathercat123/ScratchAddons)
  • Working backpack (Just like search, expect it to work on 3.0 at the next website update)
  • Explore (Just like Search, wait for the update)
  • Theme support on 3.0 (Just like Search, wait for the update)
  • Backpack support on 2.0 (Just like Search, wait for the update)

Edit: Please only reply with things available on either the current Scratch website or previous iterations of it. If you have a suggestion for a new thing, check out the Suggestions forum instead. Thank you!

Scratch Addons, Search, and fixing the remixing errors

I did that this morning, expect that update to come either tomorrow or whenever I'll ask Chipmunk to do it!

I think I'll work on Scratch Addons next then, I already have a mostly working prototype (in fact, I use it daily!) The main problem with Scratch Addons is that it will require installing a 3rd party extension (so not from the official Firefox Add-ons website or the Chrome Web Store).

BlazeTheNoobCHIP

theming support on 3.0 and the editors, scratchR, and support to load 3.0 projects on 2.0.

CuteRobot22

Search, Teacher Accounts, and Scratchr support.
But above all search.

madgames86

Editor theming support, Scratch 1.4 support, Search

found a temporary solution to my previous theme glitch,
by using the arrow keys or pressing them fast enough you can change the theme. this doesnt work for the homepage so well.

Hmm, that's very interesting. I created a new topic about it.

More formatting options in forums + a way to switch back to 2.0 scratchblocks in the 2026 and chipmunk 2026 themes

If you're on R2 or you're using the 2026 theme, then you'll have the Scratch 2.0 blocks since that's how it was on scratch.mit.edu. I'm not sure why you would want to be halfway between 2026 and when they switched to 3.0 blocks. Also, what would the formatting options be? Everything that is on scratch.mit.edu is on here, even the size tag, which was only featured in the 2.0 alpha.

Maybe 2025 would be better lol
Anyway, what about stuff ported/remade from proboards

This isn't proboard, this is Scratch! And, while your suggestion of adding more theme years does seem interesting, the blocks were updated in 2024, so only < 2023 have the 2.0 blocks, though they do not have things like cat ears or whatever. And I didn't add Chipmunk 2023 to the menu since the only major change I could think of that happened in 2023 was the purpliffication, which the Chipmunk theme is obviously not affected by.
